13/8 è un acciaio inossidabile temprabile a precipitazione. di resistenza medio-alta ottenuto attraverso adeguati trattamenti di invecchiamento (vedere la tabella sotto per ulteriori informazioni) e contiene un’ottima resistenza alla corrosione da stress. È’ prodotto da Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) seguito da Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR).
