13/8 is a precipitation hardenable stainless. It is a medium to high strength material achieved through appropriate ageing treatments (see table in more information below) and contains very good resistance to stress corrosion. It is produced by Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) followed by Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR).
15/5 is a precipitation hardenable stainless. It is a medium to high strength material achieved through appropriate ageing treatments (see table in more information below). It can be produced either through consumable electrode melting (ESR) or Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR). It offers very good transverse properties and is corrosion resistant.
17/4 is a precipitation hardenable stainless and can be supplied single melted (AMS 5643) or Vacuum Arc Remelted (AMS 5622). It is a medium to high strength material achieved through appropriate ageing treatments (see table in more information below). It also has good corrosion resistant properties.
17/7 is a precipitation hardenable stainless. It develops its strength and hardness through heat treating. This makes it well suited for applications that require good formability, high strength/hardness and minimum distortion upon heat treating. 17/7 also provides benefits for other applications requiring high strength and good corrosion resistance, as well as excellent properties for flat springs at temperatures up to 315°C (600°F).
Aermet 100 has a high hardness and strength combined with very good toughness and ductility. It is generally used for applications that require high strength, high fracture toughness and good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and fatigue.
Dynamic Metals is a 431 stainless steel (formerly known as EN57) UK supplier. We deliver high quality metal and no minimum orders on stock bar, sheet and plate.
A286 is a precipitation hardenable alloy. High nickel and chromium content gives it a good resistance to corrosion up to about 1300 Deg C and oxidation up to about 1500 Deg F. A286 can be age hardened to a high strength level. The alloy is also used for low temperature applications requiring a ductile, non-magnetic high strength material at temperatures ranging from above room temperature down to at least -320 Deg F, The alloy may be used for moderate corrosion applications in aqueous solutions.
