AMS 5525, AMS 5858 Suppliers and Stockholders

Dynamic Metals is a specialist supplier and stockholder of A286 stainless steel sheet, supplying aerospace and power generation industries with certified material to AMS 5525 and AMS 5858 since 1997. No minimum order quantities.

A286 sheet is an austenitic nickel-iron-chromium superalloy that meets AMS 5525 and AMS 5858 (UNS S66286). A286 sheets are usually furnished in the annealed state with tensile strength of 620 MPa and elongation of 40%, which makes it easily formable in the aerospace industry before age-hardening.

Sheet is the most desirable shape for fabrication of aerospace engine parts, combustor liners, exhaust ducts, heat shields and formed structural panels that operate at high temperatures. Due to the ability to maintain the sufficient strength and oxidation resistance in the temperature range of 500 to 700°C, A286 sheet provides a suitable choice in cases when conventional stainless steel sheet cannot be used due to poor properties.

Being austenitic, the alloy does not have magnetic properties and provides good toughness at both high and low temperatures ranging from operational ones up to cryogenic conditions (-196°C), which adds its capability of being used under wider range of temperatures compared to most of high-strength alloys. Moderate corrosion resistance in the aqueous environment is another characteristic that broadens usage area of the alloy.

Age hardening of formed or fabricated parts is normally done after fabrication.
